Shamila lives in Iran with her two siblings. They are Afghan immigrants whose parents were tragically killed in a terrorist attack in Kabul. After two years of residing in Iran, they attempt to enroll their younger brother, Samir, in school, but the laws of the Islamic Republic of Iran prevent them from doing so.

Between 1955 and 1970, a series of serial murders were committed by a barber in the obscure neighborhoods of Iran. Focusing on the killer’s latest crime, the case’s investigator seeks to uncover the absolute truth behind the murders. Through physical evidence and interviews with those connected to the case, he pieces together the unsettling pattern: the killer stalks young girls, watches them grow up, and then takes their lives. The investigator recounts the chilling story of how the barber first met one of his youngest victims.
