When Rick makes the seemingly spontaneous decision to get his ears pierced, it would be a more weighty choice than he had anticipated.

Austin is a grieving young man who can't keep himself from revisiting the room where his ex-boyfriend murdered another former partner. Meanwhile he finds himself in a co-dependent dynamic with Eve, a non-confrontational, quietly misanthropic student who now lives in the very same room.

Sylvie, a young birdwatcher with a disability, undergoes corrective surgery. As the anaesthetic takes hold, she is drawn into a world of feather, bone and blood.

Two friends give up on revision in favour for a friendly game of Snakes and Ladders. While playing the conversation that follows becomes as unpredictable as the game.
