Soheila, whose husband is executed for murder, is sexually assaulted by her brother-in-law after her husband's death. On the night when Soheila is planning to escape from Tehran, her brother-in-law comes to her house, and they get into a drunken fight. Escaping from his hands, Soheila flees to the rooftop, where the brother-in-law loses his balance and falls to his death. Soheila is arrested, and the husband's family demands revenge. A court is convened, and Soheila is sentenced to the death penalty.

The story of the series Kimia (starring Mehraveh Sharifinia) shows the impact of societal changes on family relationships, pitting a father and daughter against each other; the daughter of the family, named Kimia, is very questioning and protesting, and Kimia is confronted by her father, who is a military, disciplined, and law-abiding person.

Jamil is the head of a criminal gang who was imprisoned by his sister-in-law, Colonel Younes Sabzi. On the eve of his release from prison, he learns of the love between his daughter and Colonel Sabzi's son. Despite the hatred and resentment he feels for Younes, he agrees to the marriage of their children.
