The Word was a 1990s Channel 4 television programme in the United Kingdom. The show pushed forward the boundaries of youth TV, always coming close to going too far.

Cheggers Plays Pop was a British children's television show broadcast from 10 April 1978 to 7 November 1986. The show's format consisted of a series of physical and mental challenges undertaken by two teams of children representing their respective schools, together with studio performances by contemporary pop music acts. The show was filmed at the BBC Manchester studios, hence most of the participating schools were predominantly from the North/North West areas of the UK. The show was hosted by Keith Chegwin, who is commonly known to the British public as "Cheggers". Some editions from the 1983 and 1984 series have been wiped from the BBC archives, although all earlier and later editions survive.

Seven of One is a 1973 BBC2 comedy anthology starring Ronnie Barker. 7 of 1 is a series of seven separate comedies that would serve as possible pilots for sitcoms, three of which were picked up for a full series run. Originally called Six of One, which Barker planned to follow up with another series called Half Dozen of the Other.

The Young Person's Guide to Becoming a Rock Star is a British comedy series, which aired on Channel 4 in 1998. It was a six-part satirical take on the music industry, written by Skins creator Bryan Elsley. The plot centered around a young Glaswegian band - Jocks Wa Hey - as they struggle to find success. The series won the 'Best Drama Serial' award at the 1999 RTS Television Awards and, that same year, writer Bryan Esley was nominated in the RTS 'Best Writer' category for the series. It was remade as My Guide to Becoming a Rock Star, a short-lived American/Canadian series that starred Oliver Hudson and was made for the now defunct The WB Television Network.

My Old Man was a popular but short-lived British comedy programme starring Clive Dunn as retired and embittered engine driver Sam Cobbett. Set in London, England, Sam Cobbett is the last tenant to leave an old house on a council-condemned road. Naked Jungle was a one-off television game show produced by the United Kingdom terrestrial TV station Channel 5 in 2000. In itself a fairly innocuous gameshow with an assault course format, it was controversial because its contestants were all nudists. The programme's presenter, Keith Chegwin, was also naked. The full-frontal scenes of genitalia caused a furore in the national media, especially in the Daily Mail, which described the show as having "plumbed new depths [of indecency on television]". The show also attracted criticism in the House of Commons. No follow-up programmes were made. Chegwin identified Naked Jungle as "the worst career move" in his entire life. The programme was made by the same producers as CITV's Jungle Run, and used the same set as well as following the same format.
