For days, a mysterious figure had been disturbing the sleep of an entire village. One night, a crowd finally surrounds the culprit and he is caught. But in the noise of that collective uproar, a few quiet truths dissolve, unheard. The culprit is not just a man, but a haunting reminder of truths that vanish silently, without a trace. He serves as a reminder of truths that vanish unnoticed, lost within the silence of unrest.

Kalavu, follows Siby Sebastin, a retired police constable with a shady service record. Once in a position of power, he now feels unimportant and ignored at home after retirement. His presence no longer carries the authority it once did, leaving him frustrated and struggling to find his place in the household.

HOME IS WHERE I DIE is an experimental documentary told through two perspectives. The first follows a child directly affected by war, living among fear, loss, and the remains of a shattered home. The second follows a person physically distant from the conflict, yet psychologically overwhelmed by the suffering of children seen through images, stories, and memory. As empathy turns into empathetical distress, the emotional weight of distant violence begins to consume the mind, blurring the boundary between witness and victim. Through monochrome imagery, abstract visuals, and immersive soundscapes, the film explores how war continues to exist long after destruction within memory, imagination, and human consciousness.
