The late 1990s. Best friends Misha and Taya dream of escaping the small coastal town where adults have long since decided what their future should be. The brash Misha falls in love with a new teacher, while the quiet Taya hides the fact that her parents are planning to marry her off to a foreigner to save the family. Their friendship, through betrayal and pain, becomes a pillar of strength: they understand that growing up doesn't mean running away, but rather learning to stand up for yourself, even if it means being hurt by reality.

In the middle of a night forest, two bandits in a black car are forced to get rid of an unnecessary witness in the trunk. But a few minutes before the bloodshed, it turns out that neither of them knows how to kill.

Four unsuccessful friends from Pyatigorsk decide to rob collectors, but as a result they end up with a debt of 150 million rubles. In order to pay off their debts and save their lives, they are forced to continue the raids. But they are not bandits at all, and they have to circumvent the underground businesses of the future mayor.
