The young and beautiful Laura Heiberg is to marry Torsten Vinge. When the priest asks if she will marry him, she says no. She flees from the church and gets a lift from Jonas Møller. Hejrenæs

The young siblings at the Hejrenæs estate, Vibeke and Hans-Henrik, have always gotten along well, so Hans-Henrik decides to celebrate his sister's 21st birthday with a big party at the estate. During the party, the siblings' childhood friend, Ulla, provokes an engagement with Hans-Henrik, and at the same party, Vibeke learns that she is "only" an adopted child. A woman from the upper middle class impulsively leaves her boring husband and travels down through Germany with a truck driver. Back home in the small town, the husband tries to cover up his wife's disappearance from their son. Although a romantic relationship has developed between the woman and the truck driver, she has nevertheless realized the importance of home and of solving problems on the spot rather than running away from others or herself out of fear of not being able to cope.

The Quiet Battle

The Danish resistance movement stepped up its activities towards the end of the war. One night, an English agent arrives by plane, is injured and is taken in by local resistance fighters. The agent and the resistance fighters plan actions against the Germans, but there must be a traitor among them, because the Germans are always very close by.

Spion 503

The German agent, 503 June Harvey, has caused serious losses to the Danish resistance movement during the occupation, and it is decided to liquidate her. When this is to happen, she is in Stockholm. A new man is sent there to lure her to Denmark, but she prevails over him. The group leader then decides to take care of the matter himself. A young resistance fighter falls in love with her, and it takes great effort for him to carry out the order.

Strike First Freddy

Frede Hansen, a game salesman, is mistaken for a secret service agent on a ferry and kidnapped by enemy agents. He escapes and now the secret service want to use him as bait to track the enemy. They assign their best agent, Smith to be his partner and supervisor. Their main task is to eliminate the head of the enemy conspiracy, the mysterious 'Dr. Pax' who's real identity is unknown. Freddy accompanies Smith to Stockholm where they are to meet Sonja, an agent for Dr. Pax, who is also on Smith's liquidation list. Thanks to his bag of game tricks, Freddy manages to avoid being done in by Kolick, a killer for Dr. Pax. Freddy falls for Sonja, and he, she and Smith are taken as prisoners to Dr. Pax's hideout, a remote island fortress from which a major power is to be attacked by missiles guided by trained pigeons. Freddy manages to teach Dr. Pax a lasting lesson in the difference between trained pigeons and homing pigeons.

A Chinese diplomat is kidnapped from a conference in Genève and the world peace is at risk. The trail leads to a hiding place in Denmark and the Danish secret service brings in their best agent, agent Smith, who has been in a psychiatric hospital since his last assignment. To accompany Smith they once again turn to novelty and party tricks salesman Frede Hansen, because they need an unrecognizable man to infiltrate the crime syndicate behind the kidnapping.

The Ballad of Carl-Henning

Carl-Henning (Jasper Klein) is a young man working as an apprentice on a dairy farm in the Danish marshland. When he isn't working, he tinkers on a disabled car and dreams of a young girl who is a local student. After a few too many beers one night, he steals some money from the till at work. He is caught by the foreman, who beats the young man. Carl-Henning defends himself and knocks the man down a flight of stairs. Convinced he has murdered the man, Carl runs away and joins up with a traveling carnival. Although the foreman has only a slight bump on the head and all is forgiven, Carl never receives word he is welcome to return and begins a series of adventures that take him far beyond the farm.

Quote: On April 9, 1940, we surrendered, under protest, to an army that broke all treaties, attacked our borders, occupied our country, and seized all executive power.
