For this second film in the cult comedy series Torrente takes our fat police officer from Madrid to Marbella in Spain to investigate a villain’s plot to destroy the city with a missile. This James Bond style slapstick comedy became the most successful box-office film in Spanish film history beating out only the first Torrente film.

Coslada, near Madrid, Spain, October 2015. Hundreds of extras are trapped in a huge stage where they pretend with hysterical joy that they are celebrating a party that will be broadcast on television on New Year's Eve. A famous singer and actor is at the peak of his career but fatigue, stress and harassment of the media makes feel unbalanced. His star began to fall rapidly and so goes into a clinic to cure his pain. Coming out, away from his audience, will spend some time at a house that is in the North, to the seashore. There he feels haunted by the story of characters who have lived in a nearby house, in one of which identifies his former secretary.

Mario Leyva, famous singer in full glory harassed every day more for his "fans", takes the life that they allow him, dedicated to his art and directed professionally by his "manager". His popularity makes him be mixed in the advertising of a brand of cigarettes by advertising phrases that repeat themselves in all the languages.

This film is in effect a slideshow of exquisite single photographic images in sparkling black and white, representing Mikesch’s own version of Mary Stuart. “The drama of a woman who attempted a kind of liberal emancipation in a time of upheaval, but got caught in the snares of men,” in her words. Confronted with layers and layers of conflicting information about “how it really was” Mikesch decided not to try to be a historian, but to radicalise the narrative and condense it into striking images of passion, power, love, pain and death.

A Spanish singer, known as "El Ángel", owner of a nightclub, lives a double life as an expert in alarms for gangs of thieves. In his last robbery, he betrays his partners, and his lover is kidnapped and he is blackmailed. Thinking that she has betrayed him, he abandons her to her fate. Finally, she committed suicide. El Ángel reconsiders his life and decides to become a monk. But his former life will meet him within the walls of the monastery.

Mónica, the manager and wife of singer Álex, plans a publicity stunt that goes awry. When her husband shoots a rival singer with a gun supposedly filled with blanks, the singer is killed with live ammo. Álex and Mónica then goes into hiding while trying to find out who set them up.
