After Kattabomman's execution at Kayattar, his brother, Oomadurai, becomes the ruler of the town Sivaganga. Seeing this as an opportunity, the British attack and invade the town with a powerful army.

The film, produced by G. N. Velumani, had musical score by Viswanathan–Ramamoorthy and was released on 28 September 1962.
