The return of Roni, Avi's elder brother from Europe, awakens old demons as Roni, a compulsive gambler, stakes all on the football games of Avi's beloved team, Bnei Yehuda. Avi has to choose whether to remain pure and risk losing everything, or sully his hands in order to save his world. A charming and at times hilarious look at the Mizrahi subculture of soccer-worship.

Aviva, a hard-working hotel cook in the small northern Israeli town of Tiberias, is on the brink of finally fulfilling her lifelong dream. For years she kept her remarkable writing abilities under wraps, until her sister, Anita, introduces her to Oded, an accomplished novelist. Immediately recognizing Aviva's talent, Oded takes her under his wing, promising to help her achieve greatness. But the journey to greatness effects her life and the lives of her family - her unemployed husband, her trouble children, her unstable mother, and primarily her sister, a funny and sensitive woman who have her own dreams. When Aviva discovered that Oded has other plans for her work, her world collapses.

Mimon

Mimon is an adolescent having trouble in school, trouble picking his friends, trouble communicating with his limo driving single mom. Like so many 12 year olds his life is filled with a 12 year old's problems. He is failing in school and decides to solve his problems by emulating a local hoodlum and robbing the Post Office. The reason for this deed of daring do is to steal Certificates of Completion for school. From there Mimon goes on a journey of self-discovery.
