An aspiring sculptor falls in love with a ministers daughter which causes them to elope and the problems that occur is the film.

A wealthy engineer arrives in India with the mission of serving the nation and investing in the country's welfare but is met with strong opposition from corrupt officials and politicians. After being faced with insurmountable hardships, he decides to take drastic measures.

Udhayakumar and Vasanthi are collegemates and they fall in love. But soon he comes to know that she is engaged to be married. After he moves to Chennai and finds a job as a reporter at a magazine. He tries to fight for social change. In the process , he unknowingly gets to know a group of unsavoury characters who promise to help him in his goals. They frame him up. One day Udhaya is arrested for a crime involving a terrorist plot which he is not responsible. The movie is about how Vasanthi fights to prove his innocence and to get him out from behind bars.

A young man is spoilt to the hilt by his father due to which he leads a wayward life. At one point in time he finds love and reforms, hopefully for the best. But destiny has other plans in store.

Ranganayak, a rich women, has three sons : Gopi, Madhu and Balu. Ranganayaki wants absolutely a grandson and she will pass on her whole inheritance to her son who has a male child. The elder sons have only daughters and Balu is still bachelor. Balu is a singer in the marriage functions and he falls in love with Swathi, a girl from a middle-class family. He gets married with her and Swathi becomes pregnant. Balu's best friend, Raja, an honest journalist, is married to Shanthi and his wife is also pregnant. Swathi and Shanthi deliver the same day. Balu has a daughter although Raja has a son. In the meantime, Ranganayaki has a severe heart attack and the doctor says to not reveal shock news. In the hospital, a misunderstanding happens and Balu's father shows Raja's son to Ranganayaki in a serious condition. Ranganayaki is immediately recovered. Balu maintains the lie to save his mother's life. What transpires next forms the rest of the story.

Vennila, the arrogant daughter of a wealthy businessman, gets married to Mani in order to inherit her grandfather's property. However, her life changes when she finds out that Mani is an ex-convict.

The villagers of Suriyakudi believe that young Ayyanar will be their saviour. He soon gets Sivanandi imprisoned for killing his own father, and years later, Sivanandi returns to kill him.

Ragupathy leaves his village for the city and finds a job at a 5-star hotel owned by a man in a relationship with his mother. When his life is threatened, Ragupathy decides to ensure his safety.
