Tadasuke Ōno

Tonii is an aspiring world-class inventor who has sold off his parents’ estate and mansion and was now continuing his research in a shed tucked away in a corner of the spacious garden. Because a deafening roar echoed from inside the shed every day, the current owner of the estate, the wealthy Ginzo Kaneda, demanded that he vacate the premises.

Tonii is a salesman at a mortgage company, and although he is in a romantic relationship with Haruko, a typist at the company, they cannot get married because they have nowhere to live. Growing impatient, Haruko declares, “As long as he can support us, I’d even marry an old man,” leaving Tonii deeply troubled.

After their troupe disbands, musician Moriyama and his friends join Orion Records and form “Orion Stars.” Their song Love Express becomes a hit, exposing corporate scheming but ending with success and new romances.
