Matchbox follows John, a young white-collar worker trapped in a cycle of exhaustion, pressure, and quiet dread as he struggles through a late night of unfinished work. Seeking relief from the relentless glow of deadlines and expectations, he turns to a familiar coping ritual, only to find that the small escape he relies on begins to unravel the world around him. As the night darkens, ordinary spaces feel unfamiliar, time seems to slip, and what once offered comfort starts to demand attention in return.

This short film follows a tightly wound young professional whose life is built around routine, productivity, and one sacred ritual: coffee. Over the course of an intense workweek, small disruptions begin to fracture his carefully controlled world, blurring the line between discipline and obsession.
