There is someone in Max's home.

After a buttoned-up suburban businessman returns home to the same lifeless routine, he joins his aging bandmates for one chaotic joyride of vandalism, rebellion, and rock-and-roll self-destruction that burns down the fake “good old fashioned man” he was told to be.

Matchbox follows John, a young white-collar worker trapped in a cycle of exhaustion, pressure, and quiet dread as he struggles through a late night of unfinished work. Seeking relief from the relentless glow of deadlines and expectations, he turns to a familiar coping ritual, only to find that the small escape he relies on begins to unravel the world around him. As the night darkens, ordinary spaces feel unfamiliar, time seems to slip, and what once offered comfort starts to demand attention in return.
