An action comedy centered on Blubberella, an overweight half-vampire woman whose footsteps cause explosions and whose dual swords are used against anyone who makes fun of her. She must face an army of undead Nazi soldiers in her valiant struggle against bloodshed and tyranny.

The story of four petty criminals in Zagreb, a city recently coming off of the horrors of the Croatian War of Independance, reflects the petty hatreds, violence, prejudices and mood hanging over the country like a disease that spreads with no cure in sight.

During the Yugoslav Wars in the 1990s, the Croat Ante and the Serb Duško fought on opposing sides. Their routine is suddenly thwarted when a mysterious man in black named Antiša enters their lives and takes them away to an abanndoned warehouse near Zagreb, offering them a large sum of money under one simple condition: if they testify against a war criminal on an international tribunal.

Strange behavior of people he meets, warns him that during his absence something terrible happened to the town - the vital cord of Sinj is intoxicated by drugs! Still today, years after the war, some regions are contaminated with broken families, poverty, crime and low-grade uranium. In the middle of nowhere in Western Herzegovina, at a NATO military training range, a nine-year-old girl called Alica, together with her uncle Valentin, collects shells and scraps of grenades to sell on the black market. Valentin dies of cancer, Alica's diagnosis is not good but there's no money for therapy. Alica's journey through the Land of Wonders begins.

Zagreb, Yugoslavia in 1890. A group of high-school students run away on an adventure that ends in scandal. The ringleader, Gusta, is expelled from school and sent to stay with his uncle in rural Turopolje. Here, a totally new world opens up to him, where the internal tragedies of the people are played out against the castle of Brezovica and a small town of wooden-framed houses. People end up in this idyllic exile because of some previous "sin" and try then to make the best of their lives there. But memories of the outside world impinge on their happiness.
