Max Rockatansky returns as the heroic loner who drives the dusty roads of a postapocalyptic Australian Outback in an unending search for gasoline. A drama set in the isolated, mining town of Newman in northwest Australia, where men outnumber women fifty to one and the human flashpoint is set low. A new miner, David, is attracted to the young wife of his older boss, Foxy, whose jealousy is renowned amongst the locals.

Over the five days after a military coup, army troops arrive to enforce martial law and encounter a growing resistance movement.

Judy, a young woman living in a provincial town, spends her final weeks at home preparing to move to the city in search of new opportunities. As she interacts with her family, coworkers, and boyfriend, differing expectations and perspectives reveal the challenges surrounding her decision.
