Jack Torrance accepts a caretaker job at the Overlook Hotel, where he, along with his wife Wendy and their son Danny, must live isolated from the rest of the world for the winter. But they aren't prepared for the madness that lurks within.

Marked

Irma Auer (Satu Silvo) is a former call-girl, trying to distance herself from the past. In a séance she is told to be 'marked for death', and is afterward threatened by her former pimp and abandoned by her groom, as he learns about her past. Irma attempts to commit suicide, and resurrects at the city morgue after being pronounced dead. After the incident, she wanders out direction-less, being pursued by the doctor who treated her and also a strange, tall man.

Katyn

On September 1st, 1939, Nazi Germany invades Poland, unleashing World War II. On September 17th, the Soviet Red Army crosses the border. The Polish army, unable to fight on two fronts, is defeated. Thousands of Polish men, both military and government officials, are captured by the invaders. Their fate will only be known several years later.

Conscience

When a partisan attack on a Nazi officer sets off a chain of brutal recriminations, the inhabitants of a German-occupied Ukrainian village are faced with a sickening dilemma lest they not disclose the whereabouts of the fugitives at large.

As Tristes Lágrimas do Crocodilo

The story of a boy too angry with internal demons who decides to kill himself. On the path of this decision he ends up hitting new surroundings, others exist, which may, perhaps, change his mind.

Day

An experimental short film shot on iPhone 7 Plus during the first year of the COVID-19 outbreak. The film depicts a young man's love for arts and his struggle to coexist with his personas.

The Charm of the Wheels

A swarm of locusts teases a herd of horses. A four-wheeled vehicle drives into the herd. It pulls behind its riders, the horses, and the insects. The gallop is more and more dynamic, gravediggers prepare coffins for crazy drivers.

The Saragossa Manuscript

During the Napoleonic wars, a Spanish officer and an opposing officer find a book written by the former's grandfather.

De Piraeus a Gaza

Filmed on May 22, 2010, at the Port of Piraeus during the loading of part of the humanitarian flotilla bound for Gaza, and on January 21, 2009, during a demonstration by artists outside the Israeli Embassy in Athens.

Trap

Ijon Tichy arrives on a new planet in a single-person spacecraft. His habits and fantasies are with him. The aliens recreate the sex bomb from the poster that could be found in the cabin of his spacecraft. Then, they present him a live dummy. A male-female evening in space with some pre-war music hits becomes possible.

Bitterness

An anti-alcohol poster full of bitterness. Artistic compositions made of bottles and alcohol labels tell the story of drinking alcohol – it starts from drinking alcohol as a young person and ends with the death on the operating table.

Demon

A bridegroom is possessed by an unquiet spirit in the midst of his own wedding celebration, in this clever take on the Jewish legend of the dybbuk.

A young sculptor has been preparing his first exhibition for years. In the autumn of 1962 it becomes a fact. The show provokes a scandal in the society.

Poles Poles

For decades the photographer Krzysztof Gierłatowski has portrayed eminent Polish figures, thus creating an invaluable visual testimony. This time his "victims" are well-known citizens of Kraków: Stanisław Lem, one of the most brilliant, versatile, and unapologetically cerebral science fiction writers, author of 'Solaris'; Krzysztof Penderecki, one of the most esteemed and widely discussed Polish composers of the 20th century; and Wisława Szymborska, Nobel laureate in Literature in 1996, one of the few women poets who has received the Swedish prize. Gierłatowski assumes the role of a modern Stańczyk, a legendary thinker-jester, prophesying on the historical Polish Republic in his dramatic conviction that History annihilated the intellectual elite of his nation and the future will bring awe and destruction.

Icarus

A modest tailor sews a cape in his basement. He would like to use it to fly. Modern machines change other people. The tailor remains the same, old-fashioned person. Persecuted, he escapes on the sewing machine and rises into the air. He flies among the zodiacal constellations. Earthly pursuers follow him and shake hands with him. However, this is just another dream of a modern Icarus.

Beth Gibbons: Henryk Górecki: Symphony No. 3 (Symphony of Sorrowful Songs)

Beth Gibbons (vocalist for acclaimed UK band Portishead) was formally invited to Poland in 2014 to sing soprano at Warsaw’s Grand Theatre. This performance forms the basis of the film and album titled Henryk Górecki: Symphony No. 3 (Symphony of Sorrowful Songs) performed by Beth Gibbons and the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Krzysztof Penderecki.
