Bent on revenge, a traumatized ex-police officer must infiltrate a yakuza organization by befriending one of the group's most unhinged members.

The story follows a trio of Japanese youths of Chinese descent who escape their semi-rural upbringing and relocate to Shinjuku, Tokyo, where they befriend a troubled Shanghai prostitute and fall foul of a local crime syndicate. Like many of Miike's works, the film examines the underbelly of respectable Japanese society and the problems of assimilation faced by non-ethnically Japanese people in Japan.

SHOOT BOXING 2025 act.2 takes place on April 12, 2025, at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, Japan. This kickboxing showcase features Koyata Yamada defending his Japan Featherweight title against Kaname Kawakami in a decisive third clash as the main event. The co-main event pits Kaito Ono against Angelos Giakoumis in an international featherweight bout. Other fighters include Hiroki Kasahara vs. Jack in a revenge match, plus Yuki Kasahara, Kotaro Yamada, and Kyo Kawakami across the card.

Tatsuhito, a cop, pursues Chinese warlord Wang through the underworld of Shinjuku and over to Taiwan.

Nostalgia is Takashi Miike’s favorite film of his considerable body of work. Including biographical elements, Nostalgia centers around the home and school of a young boy, whose family mix the violent and dysfunctional with the comic and the loveable. Though containing elements of the sudden and shocking brutality that many associate with this director, Young Thugs – Nostalgia is more concerned with a child’s moment of leaving the internalized world of fantasy, and passing on eagerly to the next stage of life. A wonderful, touching, startling vision that is uniquely Miike’s.

This time, in addition to the main event where SB World Super Welterweight Champion Kaito will fight against former Rajadamnern Champion Petmai Siadham Moopala under 70.0kg contract expert class rules, there are many other notable fights scheduled.

SHOOT BOXING 2025 act.3 takes place on June 22, 2025, at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo. Kaito faces Enriko Kehl in a 70kg non-title main event. Kaito, a 30-year-old Shootboxing champion, clashes with the 33-year-old German kickboxing veteran Kehl.

Young Thugs: Innocent Blood follows three friends through their first year after leaving high school. Having robbed their teacher on their last day, Ryoko gets a job in a hair salon, while the two boys settle down into a career of enforcement and protection.

Dangerous street fighter Kazuyoshi Tamai finds out that his rival, Takeshi, is the leader of a gang responsible for a series of assaults. Kazuyoshi is ready to face off against Takeshi, but comic challenges keep his nemesis out of reach. It's not until years later -- when Kazuyoshi becomes a championship boxer and Takeshi is a pro wrestler -- that they meet again in a battle that pits two combatants with very different fighting styles.

Iwasa, who had become enamoured with Minashima—who was devoting himself to training with the aim of one day rebuilding the group—proposed handing over the position of second-in-command to him. Umezu, however, betrayed the code of honour of the underworld and turned his blade against Minashima...

RISE WORLD SERIES / SHOOTBOXING-KINGS 2022 takes place on December 25, 2022, at Ryogoku Kokugikan in Tokyo, Japan. This kickboxing event features Kento Haraguchi facing Serhiy Adamchuk in a RISE vs. GLORY superfight as the main event. Other key matchups include Petchpanomrung Kiatmoo9 vs. Kosei Yamada in Yamada’s retirement bout, Kaito Ono vs. Stoyan Koprivlenski, and Taiju Shiratori vs. Ilias Banniss. Additional fighters like Shiro Matsumoto, Chadd Collins, and Tessa de Kom compete across RISE and Shootboxing rules. It’s a historic collaboration between RISE, GLORY, and Shootboxing, broadcast live on ABEMA.
