The film is an adaptation of the 1834 play by Alfred de Musset, On ne badine pas avec l'amour. The film is considered to be a lost film.

In 1921, we follow two women - Marie and Grete - from the same poor Viennese neighborhood, as they try to better the lives of themselves and their families during the period of Austrian postwar hyperinflation.

Scientist Martin Fellmann is tormented by an irrational fear of knives and the irresistible compulsion to murder his wife. Driven to the brink of madness by fantastic nightmares, he encounters a psychoanalyst who offers to treat the perplexing malady.

The life and works of the great artist Michelangelo Buonarroti are shown against the historical background of his time. Comprises his earliest artworks, and follows his life and career as he achieves lasting fame, and includes detailed looks at some of the artist's most renowned creations. A heavily re-edited cut of Curt Oertel's film Michelangelo: Das Leben eines Titanen, (1938, Switzerland) with new footage shot by Flaherty.

Two of Germany's best and busiest directors collaborated on Berge in Flammen (Mountain in Flames). The storyline should be of interest to pro-ecologists, inasmuch as the directors take to task the warmongers of the world for despoiling the natural beauties of the European mountain ranges with their shell-fire. The final outrage occurs during a battle between the Austrians and the Italians in the Dolomites, culminating with the destruction of an entire mountain (hence the film's title). The harrowing images on screen were complemented perfectly by the musical score of Giuseppe Beece. Also known as The Doomed Batallion, Berge in Flammen was filmed in three different languages -- German, English, French -- for a total cost of $150,000.

Viktor, the son of Prince Gagarin, becomes engaged to the young Natasha, which Governor Malyutov, whose ward he is, does not like at all. So he does everything in his power to separate the two.
