Quest for the Pitcher of Nectar

The film documents one of the largest Indian religious fairs, the Kumbh Mela, which is held at the confluence of the rivers Ganges, Yamuna and Saraswati. The action is seen through the eyes of Shubhendu Chatterjee who has come to the Mela not out of any religious sentiment but to see and understand people and seek the reason why “….multitudes upon multitudes of the old and weak and the young and frail enter without hesitation or complaint upon such incredible journeys and endure the resultant miseries without repining.” (Mark Twain after visiting the 1895 Mela)

Uttarayan

Prabir goes to war where he meets his doppelganger, Rataneshwar, who eventually dies in combat. Prabir decides to visit Rataneshwar's family to inform them about his death but the family mistake him for Rataneshwar.

The Big City

Arati takes a job as a door-to-door saleswoman in Calcutta's wealthy neighbourhoods, in defiance of her traditionally-minded husband, Subrata, and his live-in parents. Charulata

Shree Loknath

Dr. Ajay Patanayak, a doctor by profession doesnt believe in the existing of God. His wife Basanti having no child has immense faith in God. She is also deeply attached to his brother in law Bijay. Laxmi, a neighbor has love interest with Bijay. Bijay visits Puris Sri Lokanath Temple for blessing with a hope to his sister in law gets a son. Basanti becomes pregnant and delivers a son. The happy family named the child as Lokanath after the deity. As Lokanath grows up, Bijay feels neglected by the family and leaves the house. Bijay becomes a tutor in Jaipur. In the meanwhile his love interest Laxmi marries to a Zamindar named Surya of Puri. Three year elapse, Basanti and his husband in Puri to offer oblation to Lord Sri Lokanath but they are however prevented from visiting the temple by a storm. The child Lokanath is bitten by a snake and his body is taken to cremation ground.

A young boy becomes a target for crooks, after he claims to remember his past life and mentions precious jewels in a golden fortress.

Rater Rajanigandha

After her father’s death, Anuradha Chowdhury became very upset. In such circumstances, Mr. Mallik, the general manager of Chowdhury Mines, tried to manage every property of their family. He convinced everyone that Anuradha was a mental patient. Suddenly she got a chance and flew away from Rachi to Kolkata. Accidentally Anuradha met Raja Banerjee, a journalist, and requested shelter. As a result, she started to stay at Raja’s house. In such a situation, Mr. Mallik came to Kolkata and asked for help from Raja. This complex situation really confused him and later Raja decided to help Anuradha. At the same time, Mr. Mallik requested a notorious criminal Rohanlal to find Anuradha. Just to save Anuradha Raja put her at his grandmother’s house in Tarakeshwar. Later Anuradha felt that she had a soft corner for Raja. Therefore, without hesitation, she decided to come back to Raja’s place and fixed him as his life partner.

Raja did not disclose his real identity and tried hard to impress her a lot. In the meantime, a tout Gobardhan nagged Mala a lot to join films. Raja and Bhola gave him a good punishment and saved Mala in several situations. Later Raja tried to cheat a businessperson, but an unavoidable situation changed his life. At last, Mala came to know everything about Raja and accepted him as her partner. Raja also decided to change his life and put his best effort into becoming a good man. He meets Mala and asks her to forgive Raja. Raja once again regains Mala's love and the film ends on a happy note.

Nyay Anyay

This Bengali Feature Film centers around a socially conscious author reaching the end of his life and creative career. As his last wish, he decides to know the 'truth' about the inmates. The film unfolds the struggle for the existence of the deprived by the privileged class.

Surya Sikha

Pratham Kadam Phool
