A ballad story from the life of the inhabitants of the Moravian Beskydy Mountains. The heroine is a young woman, Františka Plesníková. Františka's lover was killed by a falling tree before he could marry her, and the girl faced the bitter fate of a "roll" of illegitimate mother. Františka fought with all her might for a better life for her son Metúdek. For his sake, she eventually married an old widower farmer, Podešva. However, she soon realized that her marriage had not benefited either herself or her child.

A group of classmates is invited to stay at a spa. However, they experience many twists and turns, funny situations, but also personal dramas. At the same time, we follow the story of a young thief who gets a job as a cook at a luxury spa hotel and experiences his first great love when he falls for a beautiful maid.

Doctor Adéla Neradová, a medical doctor, has succumbed to the desire to uncover a criminal and become a kind of Sherlock Holmes in skirts. The thankless role of her Dr. Watson has fallen to her husband Peter, a professional photographer who helps her with the cases she gets involved in, but usually gets everything mixed up.

Jaroslav Hašek screens four film stories in the fairground shed around 1900. After period advertising slides and a "newspaper", we see "the first part of a sensational, exemplary, parfuss, salon program - a film from the life of school-age children, shot under very difficult circumstances". The plot of this film takes place partly in a school classroom and partly in a gymnasium toilet, where the primate Chocholka took refuge from a Latin composition. "Exemplary Family Happiness" is the second film that takes the viewer into the family of the municipal official Honzátek, in which many stormy scenes occurred when the hamster, provided by Honzátek Jr., moved into the sofa - a wedding gift from Sister Ema. Equally surprising are two other stories, one of which tells about the "father of the poor", the owner of a company with unrecoverable cash flow and a famous patron, and the other about the fateful consequences of a joint trip between the old bachelor Mr. Hanzlíček and his neighbors.

Josef Loucký is the popular mayor of the village of Sedlčánky and has ambitions to win the prestigious title of Village of the Year. The village already has almost everything it needs to secure victory. Various parodies of a public library, museum, public swimming pool, and ice rink can be found here. The only thing missing for success is a sewage system. The mayor has been promised a subsidy for the construction of a sewage treatment plant if he has the sewers dug across the entire village within two weeks. Thanks to his efforts, however, the village has a completely new road and sidewalks. So there is only one option left. The sewer system will run through the gardens. Everyone agrees with this plan, except for one person, the mayor's father-in-law, Topol.

The lead character is a young woman who becomes close with a colleague of her husband. She finds herself at an important crossroad in life and considers whether to take a decisive step.

A live, semi-documentary TV broadcast investigates why former prisoner Dr. Benet collapsed after defeating world chess champion Mirko Čentovič aboard the ship Victoria. The crew stages a detailed reconstruction of the fateful game on deck, interviews witnesses to piece together events, and deliberately blurs fact and fiction to draw viewers into Benet’s psychological unraveling and the deeper mysteries behind his victory.
