Haris, a salesman, is driving back from a provincial town to Athens. A detour on the highway takes him off course and he gets lost on deserted country roads. From Athens, his wife, daughter, friends, and boss bombard him with phone calls, as they all want something from him. Time passes and Haris cannot find his way back. The series is based on real events. It takes us to Kythera from 1906 to 1909 and chronicles one of the largest mass murders the country has ever known. There, we meet the central figure of the story, Antonis, a peaceful shoemaker. A lovable young man, until he is unjustly slandered. The outcry of the local community forces him to leave. He makes a new start in Piraeus. Again, however, his attempt to escape falls on deaf ears. History repeats itself in the big city, filling Antonis with bitterness and anger. Now, there is only one way left for him: Revenge.
