On the Princes’ Islands to the south of Istanbul, the days are rainy and full of longing. Poor but proud painter Halil gets a job in one of the island’s villas, where he encounters the photograph of a beautiful woman and falls in love with her image.

Kazım earns his living by fishing and selling books on the street. The lonely life he has been leading for many years in his small hut, has made him despise all humans and himself. But a new encounter reminds him that he is human again.

The film is about a family that broke up years ago and reunites. Sedat goes to prison for murder. Because of this, he divorces his wife Nevin. Nevin raises their children Ayşe and Murat alone. She tells them that their father is dead. When the children grow up, Nevin begins to struggle financially. Despite still loving her husband, she decides to marry the famous industrialist Orhan, believing that this will allow her children to live more comfortably. Sedat, who spent years in prison working as a musician, is released. He befriends Ayşe, who aspires to become a singer. The growing closeness between Sedat and Ayşe will lead to the revelation of all the truths.

Kemal, who had previously lived in England for a while, is assigned to gather intelligence. Kemal replaces a British officer who has just been appointed to Istanbul. While spying, he falls in love with Elizabeth, the daughter of a British general he meets.

Ali supports his mother and sister by working as a driver. He has fallen in love with Çiler, the daughter of his neighbors, the Mısırlızadeler family. Kenan's boss, Turgut, has his partner Burhan killed for his own gain. However, all the witnesses and evidence point to Kenan as the murderer. Soon, Kenan learns that Mümtaz, who works at the bar, knows the real killer. However, Mümtaz refuses to tell Kenan anything to protect himself and his daughter. Unable to prove his innocence on his own, Kenan will receive help from Mümtaz's daughter, Suna.
