An only son, Jirí Valenta (Jaromír Hanzlík), has been drafted to the army. At the barracks he acquires the nickname Seamstress because he sews rugs in his spare time. One day, his friend introduces him to Julka Vávrová (Jorga Kotrbová), a girl he is desperate to get rid of. The naive Jirí falls in love with the girl and accepts her invitation to spend Easter together in the country. There he learns that the girl is the single mother of the young boy Martínek, whose father is the married tractor driver.

The film from 1976, a film that is exemplary in its devotion to the canons of normalised cinema, is the work of director Stanislav Strnad. He brought to life the script of an unusual author - the secretary of the SČDU, Arno Kraus - in this psychological drama. The protagonist of the story also has his cadre materials in order according to the requirements of the time - he is a worker director Kabát, who besides problems at the workplace also copes successfully with difficulties in his private life - a break-up with his wife.

The prince stops overestimating grandeur and wealth and discovers that the most important values ​​in life are sincere human relationships.

Each of the films is a completely separate and self-contained story, although they are all connected by some characters and, of course, by time - five thousand years ago. The story of the Ravenpiercer, a young hero from the Stone Age, is shrouded in mystery - for he was brought there by a swollen river. He was fished out of the waves by a young hunter, Sokol, and adopted by the Raven village. The fate of the boy from his childhood through his desire to become a hunter, through the many disappointments that await him among the adults, to the founding of a new family - this is the plot thread connecting the individual parts.

A television adaptation of one of the charming fairy tales by poet František Hrubín. Princess Rose falls in love with a peacock so much that her parents fear for her health and chase the bird out of the royal garden. No one suspects that he is an enchanted young man. When he appears to the princess in a dream as the Peacock King and tells her that they can meet if he crosses the sea and endures the mountains, Rose does not hesitate for a moment. Difficult trials await her, but in the end she stands up to them well and becomes the Peacock King's wife.
