A young woman, who sells music recordings in the flea market in Madrid, passes herself off as a friend's girlfriend so that he doesn't lose his inheritance.

4th February 1975. It's the first day of the historic actors strike that would bring the country's theatre activity to a halt for nine days. They demand one day off a week. What started out as a demand develops into political challenge. Concha Velasco, Ana Belén, Tina Sainz, Juan Diego and José Sacristán are some of the artists who risked their careers and their freedom. This is the story, narrated by its protagonists, as it has never been told before.

Rocio is a young deliverer of a fashion house who walks the streets of Madrid delivering dresses to clients. Eduvigis is an Eldery Lady who lives in Madrid, and visits bad luck on everyone that she looks at through glasses that her late husband gave her, which were made from crystals from an Egyptian Tomb. To arrange the sale of an inherited house, she must travel to the Canary Islands, and so puts an advert in a newspaper asking for a maid to accompany her, and a chauffeur to drive her car. Mercedes, a girl who works in a Museum in Madrid, and Tony, a student whose college has just started Summer vacation, answer the advert. Neither of them gets along with the other at all, but both are hired to make the trip with Eduvigis. Arriving in Tenerife, Mercedes and Tony discover that the house is worth much more than it appears, and much more than what is being offered.

Laura, a pianist who has left home to flee her abusive husband, meets Marta, a vedette with whom she will work on the preparation of her new show.

Roberto (Luigi Giuliani) and Luisa (Rocío Durcal) are a couple but are not as sincere as they should be.
