Rosario, an octogenarian woman, lives with her son Antonio in a tense relationship. After an argument on the eve of San Juan, Antonio leaves home. When midnight arrives and Antonio does not return, Rosario, driven by guilt, decides to embark on a journey in search of him that will completely change her reality.

Teresa Pla, an intersex individual assigned female at birth, navigates the rigid Spanish society of the early-mid 20th century while facing persecution for living as a man from guerrillas, bandits, and civil guards.
