Manu de la Esperanza

Samuel, 10 years old, discovers that Hugo, his imaginary friend, no longer wants to play with him. Confused, Samuel spends his last days of summer exploring hidden corners of his town, accompanied by friends older than him, while secretly trying to understand Hugo's gradual fading.

Ricardo and his friends discover that the mother of one of them may be a prostitute. The conversation will become darker when one of them makes a suggestion. Friendship and moral boundaries are tested.

Alessandro, a young, idealistic, and romantic film director, crosses paths with Emma, a perfectionist theatre actress whose dream is to perform on stages across Europe. Their fleeting encounter, portrayed through a non-conventional structure reminiscent of *Bohemian Lights*, reveals that love appears when and where we least expect it. We accompany the protagonists on a journey through a timeless Madrid, filled with colorful characters such as: a megalomaniacal and jealous actor named The Interesting Actor; an obscene film producer called Stefano Clemente; and a priest and a nun searching for anisette. These almost phantasmagorical figures compel the two young protagonists to question their ways of believing and loving.

At 6 p.m. on an otherwise ordinary day, Isidro picks up his last passenger. 97 minutes and 5 stab wounds later, everything is captured by the vehicle’s interior camera. Now, the testimony of his fellow drivers pieces together a story of fear and fury from those who make their living with their hands on the wheel.
