A beautiful young woman named Aishe tends a fragile oasis, the sole source of life amid the surrounding barrenness. An evil desert spirit, embodying destruction and greed, seeks to annihilate the oasis. As danger looms, a wandering cloud falls in love with Aishe and chooses to protect the oasis. The film features mixed techniques —puppets, marionettes, and hand-drawn animation— & based on a script by a Turkish poet Nâzım Hikmet Ran, who lived in exile in Soviet Union.

Once upon a time there lived a poor fisherman in a dilapidated dugout on the seashore. He went to the sea on a boat, he was fishing. And once he caught an old bottle on which was the inscription that the one who opens this bottle, will receive untold treasures, become noble and rich. The fisherman, of course, without hesitation, opened the bottle, and from there the Genie burst out. He laughed at the fisherman, called him a bitch, but he fulfilled the promise, giving him a lot of gold. The fisherman, suffering with conscience, went to a wise wizard to ask how to rid the world of the cruel Genie. And he replied that there is only one way out.

Inventor Chudakov builds a time machine. All that remains is to interest the technical innovation officials and receive authorization to continue the experiment. And it turns out that's the hardest part! The end point in this inventor's struggle will only be set by a "phosphoric woman" arriving from a wonderful future...
