A couple are at the theatre with a playwright friend. At the end of the play the jealous husband strangles his wife to death. When the play ends, the man talks to his friend about such a nonsensical finale, telling the author that no man with any sense ever gets jealous enough to choke his wife in these modern times. The playwright decides to test this supposedly perfect couple about their happy feelings for each other.

A dying gangster requests that Tim adopt his 4-year-old son, Sonny; and realizing that the boy needs a mother, Tim induces Rose to marry him. She soon tires of housework, grows jealous of Tim's fondness for Sonny, and consequently returns to the cabaret, where Corbin, her former suitor, rehires her. When Tim, disillusioned, participates in a gang robbery, Corbin informs the police, whereupon Tim is caught and sent to prison.

The Heart Thief

Paul Kurt, embittered and disillusioned by war, returns to Budapest and devotes his life to roistering and gambling. He falls in love with Anna Galambos but leaves her when he realizes his unworthiness. She returns to her father, a gamekeeper at the castle of Count Franz, a despotic bachelor whose brothers Lazlos and Michael covet his estate. Disheartened by her shattered romance, Anna accepts the proposal of Franz. The brothers conspire to hire Paul to compromise the girl, but Paul, discovering she is none other than the woman he loves, decides to win her for himself. Paul finally exposes the plot to Franz, and Anna, convinced of his sincerity, is reunited with him after Franz releases her.

Comedians

"Comedians" - Axel Swinborne is a celebrated stage star. Although much in demand, he now wants to recover and travel by train on vacation. He leans out of the window at full speed, as happens a momentous mishap: his jacket gets tangled on the window lever so unhappy that it ejects the suction force out of the window.
