In reality, the roll was to be awarded to Lu Panther, the untalented girlfriend of the theatre's owner, Wildner. After a series of accidents and little disasters, Wildner shuts down the theatre before the Revue can take place. But the Revue's director, Ernst Eder, decides shortly thereafter to present the Revue on an ice skating rink belonging to Liesl's uncle. After a successful run, at first at the Wiener Prater, the performers move on to Spain, Hungary, and a night club with a Jazz orchestra. The Revue becomes a huge success ... and, of course, Ernst and Liesl end up together, too.

Villa for Sale

The villa in the story of László Vadnai is for sale. The owner goes away and leaves the house to his butler, who also entrusts its safekeeping to an old friend. The friend immediately moves in with his niece, and two swindlers appear. But who is the seller and who is the buyer, and why the villa has to be sold at all, is a question that is only answered satisfactorily at the end of the film, after a lot of wall-crawling humour.

But when the young Ernst Nortinger is arrested under suspicion for murder, he knows what he has to do and relinquishes his priesthood in order to report Hannes to the police. But things don’t get so far, as Hannes dies in an accident during an altercation with the priest. Nonetheless, Gruber does not return to his office. In quiescence, he wants to find out whether he still can handle the burden of the priesthood. Senior pastor Bachmayer however is convinced that he will return.
