Coral and her pregnant sister Luz live in an old house with no running water. In their patio, while the bricklayers are building a cistern, they accidentally find a pre-Hispanic burial and an archaeologist intervenes. At night, as Luz goes into labor, the men will make another unexpected discovery.

With a voice over, the protagonist of this chronicle tells us about his return to his hometown in southern Mexico, where he will visit places that were pleasant in the past, but now seem distant, invaded by people who were trapped in time.
