Farah, a young woman in her early twenties, is slowly fading out behind her solitary routine until an unexpected visit from a longtime friend leads her to question her choices.

With the help of Hungarian canary breeders Gábor and György, the filmmaker who grew up with these birds tries to recreate the soundscape of her memories from Beirut. Following canary songs between Budapest and Zalakaros, she encounters canaries whose voices have been shaped by their controlled environments. The film becomes a reflection on how identity is composed as much by environment as by intention.

Building on the discourse around the infamous area of molenbeek in Brussels, the filmmakers invite you on a walk in a patchwork of places held together as a floating concrete jungle where logic is substituted by interwoven spaces held in absurd rooms. The journey tries to follow the logic of those who designate an area as a bad one, detaching it from a broader context, as no man is an island.
