We accompany the protagonists on a journey through a timeless Madrid, filled with colorful characters such as: a megalomaniacal and jealous actor named The Interesting Actor; an obscene film producer called Stefano Clemente; and a priest and a nun searching for anisette. These almost phantasmagorical figures compel the two young protagonists to question their ways of believing and loving.

One night, Emilio paints Carla some mustaches on one of the posters advertising her show. A few nights later, Carla shows up at the place where Emilio is performing.
