Mohamad El Tokhy

Part of a trilogy by Salah Abu Seif about women’s empowerment. The film takes place in late 1940s / early 1950s urban Egypt, and tells the story of a young woman’s search for personal freedom and a fulfilling identity as a young modern Egyptian.

A comedic tale created by the late actor Hussein Imam to pay tribute to the stars of the Egyptian cinema in its golden age. The main story is based on mixing scenes of 21-star from black and white period with other scenes written by and starring Imam so that the final product is the rediscovering of old stars in a new context.

Abdel Sabour was a thief and a smuggler known as The Beast to the people in one of the villages of upper Egypt; everyone was afraid of him, including the police. He enjoyed the protection of Redwan Pasha, who in turn used him during elections to eliminate his rivals. Officer Raouf Saleh was sent to the village with his wife and son with the assignment of arresting The Beast. However The Beast and his gang worked together from the beginning trying to dispose of the officer and his family in any way possible.

On his way home one day, Morsi finds a child at the side of a road. He feels sorry for her, and takes her home with him to raise alongside his own daughter, Saniyya. The two girls become quite close over the years. When Morsi dies, their lives take very different paths, after a lot of suffering. While Sanniya falls in love with, and plans to marry, a wealthy man, Naimat falls into the grasp of a woman who is the ringleader of a number of beggars and pick-pockets.

In one of the villages, a love story develops between Fatima and Abdul Karim, but before marrying her, Shahira, the city girl, ensnares him and makes a mistake with him. Faced with this mistake, he decides to marry her and abandon Fatima. Before the wedding date, Shahira runs away with another lover, which shocks Abdul Karim, and he decides to marry Fatima.

Dr. Sami is subjected to harassment and arrogance from his wife, Munira. One of his patients is the singer Nadia, who visits his clinic for treatment. From here, Dr. Sami feels how gentle Nadia is. Dr. Sami's conditions change, and he even becomes preoccupied with Munira. Munira tries to find out the reason for this change, but fails to bring him back home, so she begins to spread rumors and scandals about him.

Six human wolves cut off a husband and wife on their wedding night, killing the husband and raping the wife who suffers a nervous breakdown. After that, the security services fail to identify the perpetrators. While the incident is known by journalist Ahmed Azmi, he sympathizes with the wife he has known since she was a child.

A homeless girl after her father dies, lives on the kindness of an old man who checks up on her. He invites her to live as a maid in his house. She starts seducing both him and his son, till the old man marries her and she lives with him and his wife and son.

Anwar Wagdi plays vagabond musician Alfredo, who comes across an abandoned baby in the night. He tries his best to get our heroes someone to take it and raise it. When that fails, he has no choice but to raise it on his own. He names the child, Dabab, after the beautiful woman he's encountered on the street. Years pass and Dahab grows up to be the Faryuz, who is actually cute, talented and far less grating than our Ms. Temple. Many Chaplinesque hijinks ensue as Alfredo and Dahab play music on the streets, try to scam free food wherever they can and convince the owner of a successful nightclub to let Dahab perform.

Saadia discovers that she is the daughter of a rich man and has a huge inheritance after his death.
