Marwan Tarek

Marwan directed this film while he was a student at Victoria College. It expresses his dream as a director and his relationship with the school. This film is the second film directed by a student at the school, after Youssef Chahine's Victoria College graduate film "As Students".

A group of young people, who spent their childhood in the bibliotheca Alexandria and discovered their talents and future through the library, including the director himself, we see what they do after the library phase.

Just a young man who wants to sleep

The film follows a writer-director as he sits down to write a book that contemplates Egypt. As he begins penning his personal experiences, the narrative delves into his upbringing, reflecting on the past through influential figures such as his teacher, artists, and an editor-in-chief. The writer-director explores how these changes shaped the Egyptian society, using representative snapshots of the future embodied by the singer Karim Ossama. Through his writing, the film presents a thoughtful exploration of personal and societal transformations, offering a unique perspective on Egypt's evolving identity.

Shahyn is considered one of the first rappers in Egypt. After his father's death, he decided to stop rapping and travel to Dubai to escape music, then returned to his hometown of Alexandria, resuming his music career with a different identity.

Ziyad Walid -Nubi-, is a young male rapper from southern Egypt who lived his childhood in Saudi Arabia where he used to get bullied and be left out. When he went back to Egypt, he dealt with being different, and Rap was the only way to express his feelings and prove himself. Rap gave Nubi the opportunity to be heard by people of his age who believe in him and his type of art. He sings a new genre, a mix between Southern Egyptian culture and trap music, trying to keep pace with the rap scene in Egypt. NUBI has a dream of holding a concert in the city of -Aswan-, specifically in Nubia, by following the steps of his idol, Mounir, the famous Nubian singer in Egypt, who experienced the same journey of being a stranger by just having dark skin. NUBI believes that singing is a gift God gave him, and the mic is from heaven.

Mona Ibrahim, who lives in Alexandria, talks about her relationship with Alexandria and with her mother during Alzheimer's disease, and their relationship with Alexandria, the "mother".
