In 1971, two young entrepeneurs decide to organize a race car with lots of indie rock bands livening up the event in Avandaro, Mexico. When only 25 thousand tickets are sold but more than 200 thousand people arrive, things start to get out of control.

Sin Toronja, Alex Fernández’s latest show, dives into mental health with a blend of sharp wit and unexpected empathy. Can depression be funny? Alex boldly takes on this question while also tackling the real mysteries of life: marriage, Japanese cartoons, and why massive events now feel like elaborate escape rooms. It’s a show that promises everything—insight, laughter, and zero grapefruits. Because who needs citrus when you’ve got comedy?

An arrogant, fascinating, and genre-bending musical thriller that is also an unapologetic migrant story set in contemporary Latin American folklore.

Fran Hevia presents his second comedy special from the Lunario of the National Auditorium in Mexico City.
