Zhang Shu Da

Shot mostly in Tokyo, this comedy depicts two Chinese tourists who have travelled from their country to Japan in order to experience the latter country.

Four travelers attempt to leave a town in Manchuria, but their bus breaks down in the middle of a country road. Not wanting to be left without shelter, they return and rent rooms at a hotel. Meanwhile, a young man named Zhicheng, a local jester who is in love with the hotel owner's daughter, meets the spirit of his ancestor. The spirit predicts a great future and happiness for Zhicheng, but to achieve this, he will have to defeat the evil bandits.
