Afacan tells the story of a young girl who witnesses a murder and struggles to escape the killers who are after her. Directed and written by Şinasi Özonuk, the film Afacan features a cast that includes Özkan Yılmaz, Türkan Şoray, Turgut Özatay, Hülya Demirtay, Birsen Menekşeli, and Suphi Kaner.

The film tells the story of a widowed woman who is experiencing problems in her relationships. Füsun is a columnist for a newspaper. She also works as a university lecturer. Füsun, who lost her husband years ago, lives with her two children. Tayfun, one of her colleagues at the newspaper, takes an interest in Füsun. A romantic connection develops between the two. However, their expectations for marriage differ. Meanwhile, Füsun meets Dr. Serdar. Serdar is a young and talented doctor. Although Füsun is attracted to Serdar, obstacles will arise between them.

Police officer Burhan arrests Recep, a member of a drug trafficking gang. Recep is released after a false witness contradicts Burhan’s evidence, leading to Burhan’s reassignment to a small village. There, he becomes romantically involved with Sevtap, a belly dancer he knew from the capital.
