Vincenzo Vinciguerra

In three programmes shown over consecutive weeks in BBC2's Timewatch strand, Allan Francovich interviewed key Gladio players such as Propaganda Due head, Licio Gelli, Italian neofascist and terrorist Vincenzo Vinciguerra, Venetian judge Felice Casson, Italian Gladio commander General Gerardo Serravale, Belgian Senator Roger Lallemand, Belgian gendarme Martial Lekue and former CIA director William Colby. Also included was "hoaxer" Oswald LeWinter.

Never repentant, never a collaborator with justice, but a 'political soldier' as he described himself in an interview with Sergio Zavoli, Vinciguerra remains a solitary cell, who over the years has repudiated right-wing militancy mixed with the state and its democratic system. Not a neo-fascist, but a fascist, determined to serve his entire sentence without seeking any reduction, as a reminder of the interference between the state and black terrorism, Vinciguerra despises all forms of democratic systems and anyone who is part of them.
