A dramatic story of a mother and daughter set in the late 1980s. The film tells the story of Lilian, a young mother whose life has not been easy. She has an intellectual disability and, to make matters worse, suffered a traumatic assault during her adolescence. The relatively idyllic life she shares with Mrs. Holasová, who cares for both Lilian and her young daughter Malvína, is shattered by the death of the eldest member of this three-generation trio of women. Lilian and Malvína’s lives are thus turned upside down literally from one moment to the next.

At a small bus station in an anonymous town, five strangers meet. Each has their own reasons for no longer enjoying life and wanting to end it, but none of them has the courage to do it alone.

Radio correspondent Karel Beran returns briefly to Prague from the Middle East due to an anonymous tip, but a revolution suddenly breaks out in Kambur just then. To fulfill his duty, he fabricates live reports from his Vinohrady apartment, simulating the uprising’s sounds with kitchen appliances. When Czech Radio decides to send a support team, he faces an impossible choice: admit the deception or stage his own death.

One shot – you get blind. Two shots – you die. It waits for you in tobacconist, in gift bag from your friend, at wedding… Do you know, what are you drinking? Case that connected police, courts, journalists and politicians. Real story, that can repeat anytime again. In the end of summer 2012, Czech republic was shocked by incidents, that public, detectives or attorneys don't remember. Alcohol made of mix of ethanol and deadly toxic methanol killed at least 38 people and harmed at least 80 in few weeks.

Alex Plan, a school ombudsman, strives for fair solutions for everyone, often going against the grain of the system and established practices. He advocates for people experiencing problems in education and tackles issues such as teacher murder and student sexual harassment.
