Four very different Montreal university teachers gather at a rambling country house to prepare a dinner. Remy (married), Claude (a homosexual), Pierre (involved with a girlfriend) and Alain (a bachelor) discuss sex, the female body and their affairs with them. Meanwhile, their four female guests, Louise (Remy's wife of 15 years), Dominique (a spinster), Diane (a divorcée) and Danielle (Pierre's girlfriend) are spending the time at a downtown health gym. They also discuss sex, the female body and, naturally, men. Later in the evening, they finally meet at the country house and have dinner. A ninth guest, named Mario, who used to know Diane, drops in on the group for some talk and has a surprise of his own.

In fall 2018, the Orchestre Symphonique de Montréal created the chamber opera Chaakapesh, a lighthearted story of the hero who founded the Innu people sung in three languages (Innu, Cree and Inuktitut) by Florent Vollant, Ernest Webb and Akinisie Sivuarapik. The orchestra then went on the road to perform the unique work in Quebec’s Far North, stopping in Kuujjuaq, Salluit, Kuujjuarapik, Oujé-Bougoumou, Mashteuiatsh and Maliotenam. Far more than just a concert film, Chaakapesh puts the audience front row centre as artists and communities come together in a remarkable cultural space. Montreal, spring 1966. Jean Corbo, 16 years old, born to a Quebec mother and an Italian father, is torn between his two affiliations. After befriending two young far-left activists, he joined the Front de Libération du Québec, an underground radical group. Jean, from then on, marches inexorably towards his destiny.

Pierre Chamberland works as a journalist for a major daily newspaper and lives in the heart of the very popular Plateau Mont-Royal district. His brother François Chamberland, a young actor with limited talent, continues to dream of the day when we will eventually recognize his “tremendous” potential. Robert Gascon, François' best friend, is an eternal 30-year-old teenager with a nebulous past who lives on the hook of society. Finally, Anaïs Fontaine, Pierre's friend, talented freelance graphic designer, succeeds thanks to her strong personality to take her place among the three roommates. Even if Pierre and Anaïs are of the age of reason, they do not yet live together. Anaïs has her own apartment and Pierre shares his loft with François and Robert, when the latter are willing to leave him some space.
