Bia Pankararu

In Aldeia Pankararu, in the hinterland of Pernambuco, lives 5-year-old Otto. Affection, tradition and collectivity are essential values, formed by family trunks and where the child is sponsored by the community.

Bia Pankararu, a young indigenous health worker, is raising funds for the reconstruction of the school in her village, which was destroyed during an arson attack on the night of the run-off 2018 presidential elections. Paula, a journalist from Rio, arrives at the village to report on the arson attacks.
