Four unsettling short films exploring psychological horror: a man who barks like a dog at strangers, madness at a party, eerie phenomena following a friend's death, and a lakeside gathering cursed by water.

Chieri, who has never had romantic feelings for anyone and has no romantic experience, always feels lonely and out of place. Not only does she struggle with interpersonal relationships with close friends like Yuki, but she also finds it difficult to empathize with the characters in romantic movies, and is unable to respond well to the affections of her close male friend, Saito. One day, Chieri meets Shoya, a man who, like her, has no romantic feelings. The two hit it off and rejoice that they are not alone. However, despite their seemingly limitless similarities, there is one crucial difference...

A hairdresser who is increasingly frustrated with things not going well slips on the stairs. When she wakes up, she is led by a rookie grim reaper to a mysterious beauty salon, where grim reaper hairdressers give makeovers to the deceased to help them in their final goodbyes.

Cohaze Coffee has been a popular fixture of Tokyo’s trendy Shimokitazawa neighbourhood for 18 years but it will move to a new location in a month’s time. This has set the tongues wagging of the regular customers who sit and debate the situation while the madcap staff and lackadaisical manager go about their daily business as they count down the days. Watching all of this is Aoki, a young woman who spends her breaks sipping coffee solo, sometimes reading, sometimes watching the world go by through the window, and always observing how people from all walks of life end up in or around Kohaze coffee.

A silly and serious midnight road TV movie produced by NHK.
