Aktenzeichen XY … ungelöst is a German television programme broadcast since October 1967 on ZDF that aims to combat and solve crimes. Until 2003 it was produced in co-operation with the Austrian public service broadcaster ORF and Schweizer Fernsehen, a division of the Swiss public broadcaster SRG SSR idée suisse. It was the basis for the BBC show Crimewatch, the Dutch show Opsporing Verzocht and its US equivalent America's Most Wanted.

Ein Fall für zwei is a German television series, which premiered on September 11, 1981 on ZDF. The series, located in Frankfurt am Main, features two main characters who solve crimes: a defense attorney and a private investigator. Josef Matula, a former German police officer, has gone into private business. His method of investigation is very effective and direct, and he sometimes even resorts to dirty tricks. Claus Theo Gärtner has portrayed the role since the start of the series.

In late 1920s Berlin, Franz Biberkopf is released from prison and vows to go straight. However, he soon finds himself embroiled in the city’s criminal underworld.

Das Kriminalmuseum was a German television series. It ran from 1963 to 1970 on ZDF and was one of its first programs. Each episode began with a tracking shot through an unspecified crime museum, stopping at one of the displays, whose story was then told. Each episode was between 60 and 75 minutes long and featured different actors as the criminal commissioner. The best known was Erik Ode, who in 1969 moved to Der Kommissar, appearing in 97 episodes. The theme music of the series was written by German composer Martin Böttcher, who also composed the complete scores for five episodes.

Peter Strohm is a private detective with radical methods. His work begins where police work ends; he takes on sensitive cases that require a certain scale, or explosive situations that can lead to international crises.

Cliff Dexter was a detective series in the ZDF 1966 until 1968. It produced two seasons each with 13 episodes each 25 minutes, lead actor was Hans von Borsody. Other performers have included Hans Schellbach as Commissioner Meinert, Sabine Bethmann as Jacqueline and Andrea Dahmen as Carrol. In two episodes occurred Günter Strack. Cliff Dexter is a former FBI agent who - working as a private investigator - in a German city. Parts of the series were filmed in Hamburg, including the startup sequence, runs in his Mercedes Benz Dexter Cliff SEb convertible through the Wallringtunnel to his office. The series was, although popular with audiences, not continued after 26 episodes, probably partly because the critics little good at the 'pocket-Bond' was. Yet in this series broadcast period 1966-1968 reached regularly 36-38 million viewers.

With the help of this plan, the conspirators around Claus Schenk Graf von Stauffenberg wanted to bring about the overthrow of Germany on July 20, 1944. The events are well known: Stauffenberg's assassination attempt failed, Adolf Hitler remained alive. In addition to the purely scenic reconstruction, this two-part, documentary-style film consists of interspersed interviews and reports with eyewitnesses and survivors who were directly involved. Everything that is available in the way of authentic testimony about July 20, 1944 is examined and documented with the highest degree of realism.
