Abahachi, Chief of the Apache Indians, and his blood brother Ranger maintain peace and justice in the Wild West. One day, Abahachi needs to take up a credit from the Shoshone Indians to finance his tribe's new saloon. Unfortunately Santa Maria, who sold the saloon, betrays Abahachi, takes the money and leaves. Soon, the Shoshones are on the warpath to get their money back, and Abahachi is forced to organize it quickly.

Several young girls were killed in a rural area. Thus Inspector Matthaei has to travel to the region where it happened and has to search for the killer. When all the people suspect a roamer to be the killer he gets lynched and everybody thinks that the crimes will stop now but not Matthaei who searches for a blond girl that looks just like the ones that were murdered. He finds one and stays with her and her mother, attracting the murderer with the girl trying to catch him this way.

While the unemployed actor Dieter "Did" Stricker keeps his head above water as a barker, his old acquaintance Rainer turns up, who now works as a PR strategist for the radical right-wing NSDU party. Did's rhetorical talent and his great poses would suit the faceless party well. With a few tricks, Rainer persuades his former colleague to run for office. With success: the popularity of the party increases, as do Stricker's fees. But suddenly his conscience speaks out.

Although they only serve sausages and schnapps, they are surprisingly successful. But the landlord has other plans.

The series is shot in Prague. The screenplays have - amongst others - been written by Tommy Krappweis, Erik Haffner and Norman Cöster who came up with the stories of Bernd das Brot. Additionally, they are directing and have cameo appearances. Many actors use their respective dialect. Die ProSieben Märchenstunde was nominated for the German Comedy Award in the category Best Comedy in 2006. It is also broadcast on Austrian television channel ORF, which is co-producing the series, airing the programme as Die ORF Märchenstunde.

Aus heiterem Himmel is a German comedy television series, broadcast between 1995 and 1999. The series was created by Hannah Hollinger and is about a comic author Tobias and his boat-building friend Christopher who inhabit an old villa and lead a life of promiscuity.
