Armed Reaction is a 1998 Hong Kong modern cop drama produced by TVB. The drama stars Bobby Au-yeung and Esther Kwan as the main leads with Joyce Tang, Marco Ngai, Mimi Chu and Joe Ma in main supporting roles. The drama takes place before 1997 Handover of Hong Kong and Royal Hong Kong Police revolves around the lives of two police woman, one who works leisurely behind desk duty but has to take her job more seriously once her husband leaves her and a new rookie cop who is deemed too ambitious and rash by her superior.

Told in reverse chronological order, the story starts in the present (June 7, 1994), when the stock market rebounded after the market became volatile and crashed for the weekend. After the stock market stopped trading for the weekend, the Ting's make the wrong bet and their entire fortune is wiped out, compounded by ending up in billions of dollars in debt. Ting Hai forces his sons to commit suicide by jumping off from the top of the stock exchange building before following after them.

After the death of his fiancee (Pauline Yeung), triad legend Ming Tin (Alex Man) washes his hands of the underworld, retreating to a quiet life running a small mahjong parlor. He originally disavowed himself of romance as well, but two very different women (Tanny Tien and Teresa Mo) wander into his life. Ming Tin lives with his mother (Lee Heung Kam), uncle (Ng Man Tat), and cousin Gam Sui (Stephen Chow). Ming Tin and Gam Sui are as close as brothers, but Gam Sui's father has a grudge against Ming Tin, leading to many barbs and bickers in this odd family. When Gam Sui and his father unwittingly stumble onto the wrong sides of the track, it's up to Ming Tin to pull them back with his old connections.

State of Divinity

Ling-wu Chung, a senior student of the Wah Mount Sect, was not at all brilliant when he joined the Sect, but was soon taught to master the sword by a legendary swordsman Yeung. Chung’s master, Kwan, resented this and drove Chung away. In order to get hold of “Kwai Fa Bo Din”, the book on the most powerful martial art, Kwan diverts attention by secretly creating troubles everywhere. Chung, on the other hand, becomes the leader of the Hang Mount Sect by chance and falls in love with Kwan's daughter. When she betrays him, he turns to the daughter of the Devil Sect leader, and thus causes a love triangle between them.

Conscience

TV reporter Wei Haiyi (Played by Maggie Shao) interviews the cage house where the urban poor live, and meets the young Ma Zhongbao (Wen Zhaolun). Zhongbao grew up in a cage house since childhood, indulged in reading all day long, and his personality was extremely closed. After the interview, Haiyi inadvertently took away Zhongbao's novel "Frog and Scorpion", and was deeply impressed by Zhongbao's bitter pursuit. Teen idols Ha (Mui Siu Wai) and Ping (Chan Mui Hing) fall in love with actor Ning (Ma Tak Chung) at the same time. Their entanglements make headlines everyday. Ha discovers that Ning is just using her, so she leaves him. Ping, on the other hand, meets a better man and retires from her singing career.
