"My Right Hand" is a film about a time where I was deeply questioning my religious identity. To be Muslim is not only to have a set of values and beliefs, but to follow a set of daily behaviors and habits as well. Behaviors that, as an American-born kid trying to fit in, can isolate you from those around you. As a result, I tended to push away that side of myself as a method of social survival.

Turning the everyday into something mythic, this observational city portrait of Cuzco explores how the cyclical nature of our lives defines the key Andean idea of pachacuti.
