Alex Caballero is a private detective by correspondence. An interesting case of adultery and blackmail appears, which could make the business quick off. The investigation starts and it gets complicated until it lands in a shady presidential campaign, discovering an election fraud and crimes comitted by a politician connected to drug trafficking in order to win.

The providential recovery of this video, believed lost for decades, is a key piece in the imagined reconstruction of the Third Biennial, inaugurated on November 20, 1987, in Trujillo, in northern Peru. It was an unusual project, unexpectedly embraced by that traditional provincial city, which was then struggling to find its place on some contemporary cultural map. This occurred precisely when that very category was faltering, and on the fringes of a society increasingly fragmented—also from the international community—by economic mismanagement and political violence, and by the missteps of ideology.
