A police officer is chosen in the late 1960s for a unique and lifelong mission: to infiltrate Egypt’s criminal underworld. Stripped of his name and reputation, he adopts a new identity, living among smugglers, dealers, and nightclub owners. Over the years, he rises within this hidden world, all the while trying to balance his secret duty with the temptations of wealth, power, and desire. Against the backdrop of Egypt’s shifting political eras, his life becomes a meditation on morality, loyalty, and the fragile boundaries of identity and biblical-level metaphors.

Fares, a shoe factory worker, has only one passion in life: football. He lives a humble life in a chaotic neighborhood where he plays street football to increase his income. However, neither his marriage nor his job is stable enough. He goes through a lot of problems due to his lack of self-discipline with his divorced wife and his son.

Set in 1987 against the backdrop of a hunger strike by the Egyptian film industry, Chahine himself steps in to play Yehia, the famed Egyptian director whose life is chronicled in "Alexandria, Why?" and "An Egyptian Story". Obsessed with Amr, the handsome actor he discovered and cast as his alter-ego in parts one and two of The Alexandria Trilogy, Yehia pressures Amr to star in various film projects that change even as Yehia's perception of the young actor begins to change. He first casts Amr as Hamlet, which the actor deems too demanding for his talents, then as the lead in a musical biopic of demigod Alexander the Great, who founded the city of Alexandria in 332 B.C.

Abbas is an interior architect living in Hurghada. He gets into a quarrel with Ismat, the owner of the villa which Ahmed is working on, that ends with her causing him a permanent disability. When he decides to sue her, her mother Zohira convinces her to marry him.

Following the death of her husband, Amar is left to carry out her deceased husband’s dream of building a brick house with her five children. The five boys move to Cairo to earn some money, but they struggle to make ends meet and achieve their dreams in the capital.

Mido studies at the Technical College, and in his spare time, he works in installing satellite dishes. His constant fall into troubles earned him the title 'Mido the troublemaker' but the gravest of his troubles is when a mysterious man approaches him for a secret mission.

Mabrouk, the village idiot and his sister Fatheya inherit a land after the death of their mother. Bolbol moves to Cairo after suffering from her step mother's treatment and becomes a prostitute, when she returns to the village, she meets Mabrouk who was her childhood sweetheart and their love flourishes again.

Set in old Cairo, Hassouna (Hamdy Gheith) is a mean thug who collects money from people for protection. He prosecutes Ashour El Nagy's (Ezzat El Alaily) family, who transform from wealth to poverty. Hassouna forces Ashour to divorce his wife and leave the neighborhood, and then tries to marry her.
