Five matches were contested at the event. In the main event, Roman Reigns faced Jacob Fatu for the Raw's World Heavyweight Championship. In other prominent matches, Iyo Sky fought Asuka, Trick Williams faced Sami Zayn to for the SmackDown's WWE United States Championship, and in the opening bout, Bron Breakker squared off against Seth Rollins.

It will be the inaugural Deadline event, and will serve as the replacement for WarGames, which was originally NXT's December event before it moved to the main roster in 2022.
