A woman balances between the jaded love of her marriage and an old passion that has reappeared in her life. However, she is not alone in this love journey.

Mari Leila, a seventeen-year-old girl, lives a life of agony, contempt and loneliness. Her unrequited passion for Jadson, a young man who is also seventeen years old, gives rise to a feeling of frustration and resentment. In addition to being bullied at the school where she studies, she lives in an entirely dysfunctional family. After great humiliation, she decides to take revenge on all those who belittled her. Devastating feelings motivate her to commit a series of barbaric crimes.

The film tells the story of Mestre Salustiano, one of the most famous folk artists in Brazil. Son of the fiddle's player, João Salustiano, Salu dreams from an early age of joining a Cavalo-Marinho group, a traditional folk dance from the region where he lives.
